This photo was taken in Port Dover Ontario. By the time I heard about how windy and high the waters of lake Erie were, I believe thing calmed down a bit, but the usual parking areas near the channel was blocked off for safety reasons. It was a great opportunity to take photos here without cars and people everywhere. I chose to shoot in black and white and wanted to catch the rough waves and kind of paint a picture in my mind of what fishermen, on commercial fishing boats, must experience in rough waters for a catch. Waves pounding, raining sideways like ice picks, dealing with extreme wind and weather conditions, all to put food on the tables for their family.
